Yesterday my friend and I were having coffee and she asked me if I ever thought about the thinking process. Well, the question startled me. I thought about it and explained to her I may have thought about it at some point in time but certainly not in the last six months–or year or so.
I was actually dragging my feet not knowing how to really answer her.
She interjected how she had been giving it a lot of thought as of late and realized her thinking had turned into mush. Now I am not sure how your thinking can turn into mush. So I asked her to explain. “I seem to be in a state of worry and anxiety all the time. Always anticipating the worst scenarios. Frankly, I am worn out.
I shared with her my thoughts about the thinking process. I told her I believe what we think is in direct correlation to how we feel. If we think good thoughts we feel better physically and mentally–it energizes us. Just like it is important to put good food in our bodies for fuel so is it important to put good thoughts into the minds.
Wonder if this could help our world be a better place? Maybe each person practice putting good thoughts in to replace the garbage that’s in there.
What do you think?
