In this new adventure, travel agent Sidney Marsh has her job on the line as she and her irrepressible colleague Jay Wilson escort an international collection of the rich and near-famous on a merry chase through mystical northern India and Nepal, into the jungle home of the Bengal tiger, and through the twisting roads od the Himalayas. Sidney’s socialite friend and client Brooke Shyler invites her to join an elaborate moving house party, but Sidney soon learns that the true purpose of the trip is to help Brooke discover which one of Brooke’s dear friends may have made an attempt on her life. Are Brooke’s fears real or only her imagination? In the crowded streets of Old Delhi, the one member of the group who may know all the secrets of the others drops dead, and Sidney becomes convinced that one of her rich and powerful fellow guests is surely responsible. The problem is, which one? On the banks of the Ganges, Sidney learns about the ritual of death and the art of baksheesh before finding her own karma at an exuberant festival in Nepal. Sidney’s persistent digging into matters thought closed forever is rewarded with answers, but those answers put Sidney in deadly peril. Before this exotic journey ends Sidney meets her match in the ancient streets of medieval Kathmandu.
This is the third book in her Sidney Marsh series which just released. It was very interesting to hear Marie explain her techniques and how she incorporated her travels to exotic locations into the settings of her Mystery Series.
