Do You Tremble?

robert e leeIn a time of struggle and war in this country, General Robert E Lee said, I tremble for my country when I hear of confidence expressed in me. I know too well my weakness, that our only hope is in God.

We all know the carnage in the Civil War, yet even in that, men knew there only hope was in God.

There are wars raging today, some are out-and-out battles with guns and tanks and bombs…some are the wars of disease and famine, some are battles of prejudice and hatred.

Like Robert E Lee, I tremble for my country, and for the world that people all over are putting their fate in their own hands and not God’s hands.
