Andrews Jackson said, “The planter, the farmer, the mechanic, and the laborer… form the great body of the people of the United States, they are the bone and sinew of the country men who love liberty and desire nothing but equal rights and equal laws.“
They are still the great body of the people of the United States, but sometimes Congress forgets that important fact.
Equal rights and equal laws…equal rights, but we have to learn to work for them and equal laws …but these laws should not be enacted and pushed down our throats.
Congress listens to a few who are outspoken…not the majority because we are quiet. We haven’t learned to speak up yet. Perhaps we will eventually get around to it…buy who we vote for.
It’s only October have some thoughts about politics and government, after all they soon will be bombarding the televisions with political ads…where they say what every they think will get them elected.
The problem with that, is that after they are elected…they forget what they said. Wonder if this is why politics has a dirty name?
