What is our Power?

Most people don’t realize the power they have. You see, our words are our power.

When you take those words and speak them, you can dictate good or dictate bad.

If you take those words and write them on paper, you can either soothe the beast of most or stir the hearts and souls of the least. It truly is incredible the power we possess.

words, words, words,

Our words can paint pictures that allow the blind to see or write scathing words of do’s and don’ts to congressional representative, newspapers and businesses and create discord.

With our words, we can even start wars or bring about peace.

Words can lift up the most downtrodden lost soul and create a wonderful world for a child to play and talk with the animals.

Perhaps, we should remind ourselves that we have this tremendous power to make things better, or worse, in our world. The question we need to ask is which will we choose?

The next time words are waiting to come out of our mouth, maybe we should check them to make sure they produce the good not the bad.

I pray I choose the words that create light not darkness for the world.
