I don’t know about you but so far into 2014––I have battled a horrible, and I do mean horrible, cold. Been totally out of commission for a week, just now getting where I feel like sitting up. Now we have blizzards coming in where temperatures can be deadly if you have to be out in it. I don’t even have my Christmas tree down.
Yet through this first six days of the new year, I am most grateful that things aren’t worse. There are many reasons all of us could get up and complain this morning. For me, today I know there are many people out there having a rougher time. This seems to put my things in perspective and my heart goes out to them and a prayer up to God to help them.
It seems when you are sick and don’t feel good, little things get to you much quicker than usual. I’m just grateful I am on the mend and things are looking brighter.
I hope for others, today is a special day. I hope they are warm and cozy inside and fed nourishment both physically and spiritually. I especially hope they have thankful moments throughout their day too.
