Has Your Inner Fire Gone Out?

Albert Sweitzer
Albert Schweitzer said, “In everyone’s life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.”

If you had told me a person’s inner fire could go out when I was in my twenties, I wouldn’t have believed you; probably might not have known what the inner fire was. But as with anything in life, you eventually get enough experience and find out. When that fire does go out, you really have a hard time thinking about your career let alone other things in life.

One things for sure, what he said is true. The fire does burst into flames through an encounter with another human being. I will always be forever grateful that God led me to the person, who helped that inner fire burst into flames again. The feeling you can do anything is a wonderful feeling. I never want to lose that feeling again.

How about you? Have you lost your inner fire?
