Love? You’re Kidding, right?

thomas merton  “Love is our true destiny. We do not find the meaning of life by ourselves alone–we find it with another.” by Thomas Merton (1915 –1968), a writer, mystic, a Trappist monk, poet, social activist who became ordained in 1949 to the priesthood, given the name Father Louis.

Isn’t it great to know what your destiny is in life? Think of all the people down through the ages who have pondered that very question about their lives. “What is my destiny? What is my purpose? Why am I here?” Some probably figured it out, but many others didn’t.

Who knew? All along the answer, so simple, was  to love. Yellow love

  1. Yes! Thank you, Susan. That one word is a strong discernment tool, too, as we ask ourselves, “What’s the loving thing to do?”
