Will you do it or not do it?

Yoda_Attack_of_the_ClonesStar Wars,  Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back, 1980. Yoda, trains Luke Skywalker to fight against evil.

Yoda says, “Do, or do not. There is not ‘try’ .”

I especially like that statement. Too many times we use the word try. “I will ‘try’ and make it.” Or what about, “I will ‘try’ to do better.” How many excuses could we make with the word try in it?

Like Yoda said, “Do or do not.” I think that rings true today. Either do it, or don’t do it. Don’t try!

What phrase do you normally say using the word I will ‘try’? Will you do it or not do it?
