How do you do it?

LIGHTBULBHow do we do it? How do we keep up with our social media, blogging, website and work?
I know for authors it is necessary to post on a blog and keep their website current. It is imperative they are members of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn just to name a few. This is one of the ways they keep their names out there. Amid all these avenues that require their time they need to spend time working on their book, creating scenes, plots and characters not to mention dialogue. Then you work on finding people to review your books and put that on Amazon.com. This is just some of the things that must be done.

Writing a book is time-consuming and it must be done, the venues above are part of your business end and they have to be done. If we are smart, we will figure out which part of the day we have the most creative energy and work on our writing our book. Then when that time begins to wane, switch to the business hat and market and promote.

So how do we manage to do all of this? Like everything else in our lives we carve out a few minutes here and a few minutes there, giving everything a little bit of us. If we are lucky, when we finish this maybe we will still have something of ourselves left for our families.

One of the things we could work on is how to get a lot of hits on our site instead of giving these social medias all the hits. Let’s see, where do we begin? Maybe we could tweak what we are posting making it interesting enough to get extra hits and/or maybe we could ask people to guest post on our blogs.

Happy tweaking!
