ARE YOU WHAT YOU THINK?

Did you know you are what you think? Does that surprise you? Let me give you a test you can use for proof. The next time you go to a department store, take two friends with you, let one friend walk up to the counter as a confident person who thinks well of themselves with good self-esteem at the same time let the second person walk up with feelings of low self-esteem, one who doesn’t think well of themselves and no self-confidence. Which one does the sales clerk wait on first? Odds are it is the one who thinks well of themselves.

Now did you know that those people are also the most successful? We are what we think! People notice us and how we think of ourselves is how they are going to think of us. In other words, act like a victim people treat you like one.

We have heard it repeatedly, how we think is how we act. Here is another one; if you don’t respect yourself no one else will respect you.

Two people walking down a sidewalk. One is dressed in a business suit, professional looking and one is a street person. Watch how people react to each one. One will receive a smile if the other is lucky he might receive a nod, but chances are he will be ignored.

This week let’s look at changing our thinking about ourselves.

  1. It’s amazing isn’t, we’ve all been there. Just think what it does to our own minds!

  2. Wow – this is so true. I am amazed how much better, faster service I receive when I’m “dolled” up versus running errands in sweats or something.
