AT WHAT COST LOVE?

Jo CoudertJo Coudert said, ” You do not need to be loved, not at the cost of yourself. The single relationship that is truly central and crucial in a life is the relationship to the self. Of all the people you will know in a lifetime, you are the only one you will never lose.”

I never want to lose myself. Love should always give to, never take from. If both parties are giving then the relationship grows into a deep abiding love…which is the kind of ’til death do we part’ a real happiness together.

So what has love cost you?

  1. Thanks for your comment. Too many times we allow the cost of love to cost us our values and self-esteem. The miracle is when we realize and change it. Thanks Shannon…Jesus is the one that makes the difference.

  2. Oh wow – great question and the answer is plenty. There was a time when love cost me my values and my self-esteem. No more though! I have fallen in love with Jesus…and His love never disappoints!
