MEMPHIS TO NEW ORLEANS–DOWN THE RIVER

Wouldn’t it be nice to hitch a ride on the river boat and paddle down the river from Memphis to New Orleans. Taking your time, letting the river move you at her own speed, and all you had to do was breath in the beautiful scenery and  become part of the rhythm of the mighty Mississippi.

We can do that any day we want, we just have to close our eyes, get quite so we can hear the water as she moves, feel the breeze across our face and bathe in the serenity of that moment.

  1. Thanks it was a good meeting everyone learned something and had a good time. The group is just wonderful.

The scene reminds me of a movie call “Showboat” where they sang the song ‘Ole Man River’ with Ann Garnder, Ann Blythe, Howard Keel.

Your post makes me think of the honeymoon scene of Rhett & Scarlet on the riverboat to New Orleans. Great meeting at CCWriters, thanks for all you do for our group.
