NO––I’M NOT CRAZY

Monday morning. What a great day! No I’m not crazy, I am glad to be able to wake up.
Lets face it, the alternative is six feet under. So I can give thanks for this day.

I started thinking this morning how many people might be waking up thankful. Thankful to have a job, a family, friends. Thankful for a roof over their heads, food in the kitchen, money in the bank.

Sometimes we think our lives are mundane, but is life in reality that way or is it because that is the way we look at our lives.

In reality maybe it is because we don’t give thanks. Look around this morning, if you can see, give thanks. Do you hear your alarm clock? Then give thanks for being able to hear. Hating to have to get up and go to work? Be grateful you have a job. Wish you lived in a bigger house? Give thanks for the roof over your head. Tired of being on a grocery budget? Give thanks for having food in your kitchen.

Ah yes, it is ‘we’ , our minds perceive our life as mundane. So today, let’s try something different. Begin our new week  looking around seeing how many people, places and things we can give thanks for each day. It will feel  as if the whole world has been lifted from our shoulders and we will find ourselves smiling and happy.
